FOUNDATION FOR BLACK PHILANTHROPY

BUILDING A LEGACY

OVERVIEW

The African American Community Foundation (AACF), an affiliate of the Foundation for the Carolinas, was established in 1993 to support efforts that promote economic self-reliance, equal opportunity, leadership skills, and cultural awareness among the region's African American community.

OBJECTIVE

Orbital Socket was asked to create a new brand identity for the Foundation that was reflective and accessible to the community it serves.

RESULTS

The new identity revitalized the foundation resulting in an increase of funds, grantmaking, and networking and educational events.

WORK

A new logo was created that resonates on a personal level with the community it serves. The icon represents the stained glass windows you find in African-American churches. The varying shades of brown reflect the diversity of the community. The logo works well with the Foundation For The Carolinas logo.
